My drivers door hinge clunk three of four times every time I open or close the door. Is this a worn hinge? How easy is it to remedy this? I think I'm waking the neighbours every morning!

Is your door a bit stiff? try oiling hinges with any oil you have, dont forget the tailgate hinge. with the doors open you should be able see where it hinges. wd40 is good as you can squirt it but engine oil can be "blobbed" on the top with anything handy. I hope thats all it is.

there is a coil spring in the hinge that is broken by the sounds of it I got a pair on ebay for my scenic less than the cost from renault mate
