I just wondered if anyone has had the same problem as me with their Clio.

When I indicate my headlights flash for a second and then when it automatically corrects itself after turning the headlights stay on for about 5 seconds then go off.

Any ideas what the problems is?

Yes, I think it is the stalks on the steering column.

I had this very problem and the stalk unit was replaced under warranty.

Be careful because the wipers are controlled by the same unit (it is inside the steering column - the stalks are only the parts you can see) and you might find that they suddenly stop and then only work occasionally when you need them most.

Yes! On two occasions the wipers haven't worked when I've put them on. I turn them off and back on again and they're ok. I'm worried that they won't work when I really need them!

You obviously think it's all connected then?

I'd be inclined to remove the steering wheel cowling and spray switch cleaner right into the switches

Don't over do it though, some types of plastics switch cleaner can react. I usually wipe any surplus from any area that I've over done it. With the ignition off operate the switch 10 or 20 times once the cleaner is sprayed in.
