Hi All,

Bit stumped by this one, can anybody out there help me please?!?!?

I have a 99 Scenic Sport Alize 1.6 and love it. Only thing is that when turning left into driveway the steering is very heavy, almost like no power steering? Doesn't seem so bad when turning right....

Also I have noticed a 'notch' in steering when driving normally as steeringwheel is turned from left to right or vice versa.

I was wandering if pump was tiring or rack playing up. Maybe something completley different.......

Please help, don't want to leave it too long and damage any parts.

Thank you in advance!!

Hi Buzz -What you describe sounds like a faulty steering rack or sensor. Have you checked the fluid level in the power steering - if its low you may have leak somewhere. For safety reasons get it seen to ASAP.:)

Hi, thanks for your reply!

Fluid level is fine. Just wandered if this was a 'standard' Renault issue that I might be able to save time and money with when I take it to my friendly repair shop!!

Steering rack sounds pricey?!?!?

Cheers
Buzz
