Hi

Thought I'd sign up as I now have my first Renault :)

However I've not done things the easy way and have bought a slightly accident damaged yellow Laguna RTI 2.0S.

Stood out as it had nice alloys, fully colour coded, 4dr hatch (practical) and was 2.0 16v (fast enough ???).

Have run into a few probs with it but am persevering - you may be hearing alot more from me in the heeeeelp forum lol

(Is that best way to do it??)

Best regards

I dont know what the shade of yellow is called by Renault, but the car is affectionately called the sl*g by me and my brother :d

Damage was limited to broken grill (the bit that goes underneath the headlights side to side), missing front splitter, 1 burst front tyre and damage to paint on the front bumper. Various bits of mud and straw stuck to the underside where it's been offroad

Water damage due to the clever people at the yard consists of borked decoder box (£100.10 at renault), borked drivers window regulator (trying to get secondhand), the odd relay and possibly yet the fusebox (as I cant get front wipers to operate yet though relay does click).

I still see the car as worth it as it was v cheap, it's been lowered, nice 17" alloys plus the paintwork thats been done.

Paid £75 + vat to have the ecu decoded - thats well worth it , never need to see main *********** about keys/codes again!! I gave the ecu to a local renault specialist but i think he got Blue Hawk Electronics to do the work.

Am V happy with it :d
