Hi, attempted to start my 2016 captur
Diesel yesterday and the electronics appeared to malfunction. Car wouldn't turn over and burning plastic smells from the engine compartment. Put the fob in slot to try and reset but problem still there. Bump started the car and it's driving okay but with no indicators working. Won't start with ignition at all. Just out of warranty and any advice would be much appreciated.

A burnt plastic smell doesn't sound good. Have you checked around your engine bay for any signs of this melting plastic? It sounds like you've encountered a short. I would start there.
