Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows what i've done here.

I put almost a litre of oil in to my 2001 Renault Clio 1.2 16v to top it up from nearly the bottom notch on the stick to nearly the top notch.

The oil says "For turbo charged petrol, naturally aspirated engines and light to medium diesels" and its 10w40.

I normally use a 10w40 oil but its normally just one that says petrol...

Is my car screwed? :(

Thanks for that. I think im just paranoid about it feeling underpowered now thats all... I think i'll do my oil service quite a bit sooner this time anyway but as long as it will be ok.

yeah. the dino factory.

seriously. its oil. a top up of a different brand wont hurt it. hell, even a top up of a different weight wont be disastrous. so may people are so touchy about oil. unless its a big turbo /diesel, they arnt that sensitive. 1.2 petrols are ok with any good quality semi or fully synth 10w40.
