Can anyone tell me the battery size for a clio remote key? In the handbook it states to take the vehicle to the dealership to get the battery replaced, but I have 2 problems with that, 1 the immobiler has immobilised the car and 2 i cant afford to!!
in that case not too sure but hopefully a member with similar will be able to help. Click the link in my sig for the Clio FAQ and check the "electronic" section as there are a few tips and hints regarding immobilisers there as when you replace the battery you may need to resync the key.
My key for the '94 uses 2 CR2016 batteries but this only does the central locking not the immo so yours may differ, there is a small phillips scre on one side remove this and the casing pops in 2. Also if you point the key at a digital camera / mobile phone camera and press the button a blue light should show on the viewscreen if the key is operating.
