Hey guys new to the forum

I am on the market for a new megane mk3 and i want the world series 1.5dci call it a pre mid life crisis I'm turning 30 next month lol

II'm currently looking at a white 106 megane mk3 world series and I do a lot of mileage to work every night sadly

With that being said I know the mpg from Renault States something like 63mpg combined and I know we can't attain that figure bbuy wondering what I'm liking to get from this engine

With the working nights thing it's dead on the roads at the time I travel so can pretty much travel at whatecrr speed I choose and I generally like to cruise to work at 65mph and having cryise control next time around it will be quite relaxing but just hung up on what I'm likely to get mpg wise and I know that I could get a eco remap which is also an option I'm happy to do just wondered if you guys would help me out if you can

Thanks James

the 1.5 is very good on mpg but you loose that in repairs its not a very reliable engine with sticking piston rings /an egr valve that needs cleaning more than the car does and the dreaded metal in the pump which is very expensive to repair nearly forgot that turbo  apart from that when its running its great i was getting 60mpg from my van :d

I've had my meg mk3 fir 3 years and has never given me any problems so I presumed the world series would be the same so you suggest maybe not to buy it then I just want the economy really and it's a great looker
