still lots of bits that can be tweaked up on that model, suspension, alloys, sound system, big bore SS sports exhaust system, window wind deflectors, satnav, handsfree kit, in car tv monitors in the back of the front seats.
Think tahitian954 may butcher it ..transfer parts back and forward

That's my ploy, to butcher it and put the crap stuff from mine onto it and sell it on for less than I paid for it, would probably work out cheaper than buying separate parts, and I can pick and choose the bits I want to change over!:)

1ST Car R12TL blew the engine within 3 weeks of driving so having a brother as a Renault Mechanic we fitted a R18ts engine....MY god it went some

2ND Car Renault Fuego GTS Defiantly my favorite car ever. Living in a small town every time time one pops up on ebay i get locals tagging me on facebook saying buy it!!!!!

3RD R19 Growing up with family needed a four door...done me well this car

4TH Renault Laguna 1.9 Diesel Got it for next to nothing as owner failed to tell me about intermittent fault that shut down the engine, i found the fault by sheer accident & resolved it with a tiny bit of gaffa tape (wiring loom rubbing on engine & activating immobilizer)
Again lasted me a few years

5TH Current Renault Megan 1.9 Diesel I love it but far too complicated nowadays to work on. Brother hates it keeps telling me to get rid (No longer Renault mechanic but now fixes anything you see the Royal Marines using)

Waiting for the Fuego to be re-released.......i can only hope!!!

Grew up with a Renault 4. Learnt to drive in a Renault 6, parents the went on to have an 11 & 5 & then the original Megane hatchback.
My first personal one was a Laguna hatchback (old style), then after a couple other vehicles had an S reg Laguna estate (old style - added rear seats to it in the boot),a T reg Espace (loved it), 04 Laguna Estate 2, went back to the old style Laguna Estate (yr y2k- very practical. Fitted Ikea sofa's in the boot and all sorts. Wish I still had it) 'upgraded for something else- whoch couldn't afford to keep/run and traded down for the 57 reg Megane hatch that I have now. :)

What one was the GTS, the 1.6 ?.
My Dad had the base line TL 1.6, and it was pretty rough. In the end, that old pushrod style engine gave out.

At the same time which would have been 1989, i had the Fuego GTX 2.0 manual. Really nice car. Great seats (Which were the same as my later Alpine GTA V6 Turbo). And it looked good for the time.
But looking back now, those GTX wheels were aweful !. lol
Also the 2.0 engine let it down. I think it was 112bhp If my memory is correct. And mine was quite low miles at 25,000 miles when i had it. One of my mates had a Mk3 Escort 1.6 carb, and it would whoop me all the time. Most embarrassing.
