After all your suggestions not to risk taking car to lego land
as t.belt service was due I tried in vane the next day to find
a 7 seater hire car but with no luck.

SO I RISKED IT!!!!!

Happy to say back safely car in workshop getting turned inside out as we speak. However, I would have much rather paid the hire car fee then spent 10 hours driving Sh*tting myself waiting for a PTING BANG!!!!!

For the sake of a 200 car hire fee I've:
- Had a nervous breakdown.
- Induced OCBD of hearing noises.
- Sold my wife and three kids to a Russian
HGV Driver at a truck stop.
- Forgot about a tip I got for the
Grand National off an Irish Trainer three
months ago for the 33/1 winner.
- Sent my mother catatonic.
- Developed a nervous twitch.

But hey I WON!!!!!!

Jeez , Lucky fellow ...I am glad it all worked out for you tho, I would have felt the same using the car, every miss, pop squeak of the car, It might have gone on for another 10000 but who knows... I'm sure you will go on to have many more adventures with your car.

Worries aside I hope you enjoyed your trip with the family .

Regards

Ottoman

I believe I was in favour of you taking the risk in the first place! The odds really were in your favour - just don't do it again!:d

The odds were always in your favour. It was just a matter of how hard you would have kicked yourself if you'd trashed the engine having knowingly taken the risk.

How much did you get for the wife and kids? And did you get the guy's phone number?

I traded them for three goats and a sheep.

Good deal I thought.

Low maintenance,
Good conversation,
Smells a bit funky but apart from
that, not bad at all.

You gotta a way with it then

Looks like you got a good deal on the wife and kids - now all you gotta do is convince some mechanic to do the work for the same. Never know your luck - motor mechanics have tend to have strange tastes.:moonie:
