Hi everyone.

My girlfriend's car has recently had a problem where it's starting to over rev and I was told that a possible cause could be the Idle Control Valve. I've sourced a new one of these now, but I can't find where the valve is in the engine to change it.

I've searched these forums and Google with no luck. I've posted a couple of pictures below, so if anyone could help point out even where to begin looking it would be a big help. I've looked up and down with no luck so far.

The model is a Clio RXE 1.6 1999.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I'm not 100% sure on exactly where it is on your car,but you will definately have to remove the big plastic from the top of the engine and the valve will be on the throttle body at the back of the engine somewhere.

If you get the cover off and still can't find it,post up another pic and we'll point it out to you.
