In my Modus 1.5dCi.... reason I ask is because Carlube recommend 5W-30 and Castrol recommend either 5W-40 or 10W-40

Found the answer, 5W30 is a NO GO according to Renault, 5W40 or 10W40 are fine so Carlube are WRONG!!

I feel compelled to thank them for the wrong info, now I dont have any oil in the motor and its a 25 mile drive to get an exchange from Makro

Hi Damian, what brand would you suggest - bear in mind that the poor old motor went 4k over its oil interval
