Think its a question of needs must, coupled with a real sense of pride in not feeling like victims anymore.

'We' could do things like that if not wrapped up in red tape and H&S legislation, but thankfully we haven't had to prove we can (and hopefully don't).

And they didn't have thousands of whinging motorists complaining about road closures or hold ups breathing down their necks.

Just goes to show what can be done if needs must and workers are left to get on with it.:)

The Japanese have a fantastic work ethic,and as Paul says,they have a massive amount of pride in their work and their country as a whole.They don't sit and wait for hand-outs or charity,they just get on and sort things out.

I'm not so sure that the same can be said about this country any more.......
