Hi
As I have not had any replies I assume the pump cannot be cheaply or easily sorted so I want to replace it with a manually operated one.
Please can anyone tell me which other pumps will fit the 1.9 non turbo engine? Will Renault 19,Clio, Megane or Berlingo do the job?
Thanks,
Martin

kangoo injector pump

Hi
The engine starts and then stops. I'm told it is probably an ECU fault or the rotor positional sensor. Both big bucks!
I want a manual pump as the engine is in an amphibian and water and electrics don't mix!

Hi Martin - I take it the pump is multi-port with 2 electronic controls and as you say it has been fitted to a specialist vehicle. Have you tried by-passing the stop solenoid.:)

kangoo injector pump swop

Hi
It is a Delphi Epic III.
I am not too sure what 'multi port' is. It is not common rail and it has two things that look like electronic actuators.
I was told there was no stop solenoid as it was built in.

Hi Martin - if it's not common rail then it's multi-port (got 4 pipes going to each injector). As far as I remember the electronic unit on top is the stop solenoid and the lower one is for advanicing or retarding the injection timing. When you disconnect the cable going to the top one can you hear a click - have you tried turning it over with one of the injector pipes disconnected from an injector to see if it's pumping air bubbles. What type of fuel filter is fitted - the one with the squeezy bulb or the one with the big black button.:)

kangoo injection pump swop

Hi
Thanks so much for your help.
It is multi port but as I recall (the vehicle is stuck elsewhere!) there are only two 'actuators' on the top of the unit. I think it has a bulb type filter pump.
I will check what you have suggested tomorrow.
I would prefer to have a manual pump and get rid of the electronics.
