Hi guys been changing the rear brake shoes on my kangoo.

i got one side hub off fine but the other side was a right ***** and when it came off it left the rear of the wheel bearing on the shaft , i pulled it off dropped it back in the hub and hit it with a large socket to try and press it back together however i now seem to of bent the little collar part that holds them together... can i ask is it common for these to part or when the back end of the bearing separates does that mean its had it and needs replaced ? many thanks

remove the collar
Now slide the back bearing on the shaft,,,,put the drum back on, and as you put it on, spin it
Now you can tighten it up as normal.
The centre part ( Collar ) is to hold both parts together nothing more

If the collar part has not gone around both tapers you will have issues
If unsure Take It out and ignore
