I have just bought a second hand (06) Master based Motorhome. The dealer didn't know what the "Kg" switch was for .
The handbook says use when driven laden.
As the motorhome is always at least 3000Kg should I use this all the time ? Or only when up to full 3500Kg weight?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Is it a quickshift gearbox?.

If so,pressing the KG button changes the gearbox settings to compensate for a heavy load.As you rightly say,your motorhome is pretty much near the limit all the time so really the switch should be on all the time.I'd try it with it on and then off and seeing if it makes much difference to when the box changes up and down and at what engine rpm it does it at.

Yes it is a quickshift

I thought it was probably to do with gearbox , but it could have engine mapping or brake distribution.
I will try it out to see when it changes gear in both modes
