My dearly soon to be divorced ran out of fuel, after putting some fuel in even the guy from the AA could not get it to start, after flatening the battery and his booster pack we loded it up and its on my drive. I have recharged the battery ready to try again is there anything that should be done before I try to tun it over to pump some fuel?

There's a finned alloy transfer pump that sit's on the rear of high pressure pump the drive to these has a
habit of shearing. Transfer pump is held on by a couple torq head screws remove to check if drive

Thanks for the reply, how would running out fuel cause this to happen, I dont disbelieve your advise i just can not understand how it could happen. I was hopping that it would be something like a lack of pressure or airlock in the system. If it requires this kind of mechanical repair it woud be beyond me to do and as I am on JSA at the moment the car would have to remain off of the road.
