My laguna 2 has devloped a minor fluid leak but before it gets any worse I want to get it sorted.

I think the leak is coming from the bottom of dip stick tube for the auto gearbox. The tube is black in colour and joins onto the gearbox with two bolts this can be seen in the attached photo. The bolts were loose so I tightened then but the fluid is still leaking slowly!

I assume there is a gasket behind this? Can it just be changed easily or will gear box oil come flying out at me if i undo the dipstick?

Thanks

yes I think it will. may be an o-ring. the daeler should be able to show you a diagram. A auto trans specialist is probably the best bet for this. if too much oil is lost in the process they can top it up reasonably cheaply.
if you have help you maybe able to hold a finger over the hole while you switch seals. worst case, screw it back on and take it to a trans specialist
