I don't know if this is the right place to post this, so mods please move if necessary.

My o/s/f spring snapped at 6.20am this morning, luckily as I sat in the car outside my house, not while I was doing 70 on the M4. Still, sounded like a shotgun going off and woke the wife up indoors!

So, I ordered 2 new springs from Allparts today which I will be fitting tomorrow.

However, more worrying, when I got home, I had a closer look at the car, and now there's a puddle of odourless orangey-brown fluid behind the n/s/f wheel (opposite side to the snapped spring) which definately wasn't there this morning. Looking under the car, I can see something dripping, but no idea from where. Obviously it's found its way to the lowest point on the subframe/chassis. I've checked all the levels I can. Brake Fluid, coolant, pas fluid, engine oil. All are fine. It's not diesel as it doesn't smell.

Anyone have any suggestions please?
