I know it has been mentioned before but never found the answer.

I get very bad mpg on 2002 laguna 1.9 dci with 116K on the clock. It has been recently serviced with Castrol 5-30 full synthetic and EGR valve cleaner (was bad before).

Reading around some people would say that turbo may be on its way out. The car drives perfect.

What I get is around 39 mpg on the route where I get 63 mpg with audi A4 - same drive!

Is there anything else I could try to improve the mpg?

Looks like somebody has in the past play with Turbo boost solenoid pot. Could that possibly cause the issue?
