Sometimes just after starting up, there's a sound like the window being wound down from the LHS rear. But the window hasn't moved and it's in normal working order. I originally thought it was something to do with the rear wiper, but the wiper is switched OFF, Any ideas, thanks

An ALL electric renault, sacrebleu, I'll be having cold sweats and nightmares tonight.

Can you imagine the owners manual, "only to be driven in the dry while wearing rubber boots, rubber trousers and rubber gloves rated at 10,000 volts, warranty null and void if used in the rain".

Its the electric handbrake releasing, *&^(&%^& car. Thanks for the help guys and I hope you don't think I've wasted your time. I'm falling out of love with this car.
It isn't the EPB releasing that should worry you.
Its when it doesn't >:)

Thats not a funny thing to say to a laguna driver.
I had a Scenic.
It's allowed when you have been a fellow sufferer :grin2:

TBH, the EPBs are now much better understood now.
To the extent that most relatively handy DIY mechanics can sort issues without the only option being buying a complete new unit from main dealers.

Never be as simple and cheap as sorting cable handbrake problems out but is at least doable.
