Hi

Some advice please! I have a 1996 1.8 8V petrol Laguna with a JB3 gearbox. Looks as if a seal has gone around a driveshaft to the n/s wheel and it has lost a fair amount of oil from the transmission. Fortunately, I think there has been no damage through lack of lubricant. However, I need to get it to a garage to repair, and not wishing to drive it with a dry box:

1. Is the gearbox filler plug the plastic-looking butterfly style plug in the side of the gearbox facing the radiator?

2. Can I get away with a standard 75W/80W gear oil to fill the box?

Thanks in advance.
