I have a Laguna II with a strange AC problem.

R-134a pressure is ok, checked and rechecked. I measure with a thermometer about 7-8 ºC with normal AC operation.

Above 2.300 RPM it stops sending cold air (Manual or Auto select on Climate Control Unit turned ON). I have to get RPM down to get cold air again, and always below 2.300 RPM.

Another strange thing: Driving for a while with AC ON, I stop the car for a while getting the card off 5-10 minutes (going to WC…). Then I start the engine, AC turned ON and driving above 2.300RPM it gets really cold air – about -2 to +2 ºC. When RPM decrease to 1.500 (proximally), and get again above 2.300 it stops sending cold air.

Anyone get this problem before? Where was the problem?

Could be a pressurestat problem? Any idea where the problem is?

Thanks.

Cheers

PS – english is not my native spoken language…

Whats the pressure on the High Pressure side when the cold air stops? could be an txv problem or maybe a blockage causing the high pressure switch to open and cut out the compressor.
