Hi All,

I've been searching the forums for someone with similar symptoms but was wondering if an expert could do a very quick summary of the known problems of the Laguna 1.9 DCi - in particular what seem to be ECU/injection problems on my car.

My symptoms are a mixture of the following:
- won't go above 2,000 revs under acceleration
- frequent "fuel injection system faulty" message
- sometimes goes into full limp-home mode
- every fault code in the book, thus confusing my Renault specialist
- problems also occur after an hour or so of motorway driving

If possible I want to tell my specialist what he should be looking at.

Many thanks in advance

Hi, would it be possible for you to list the exact model, year and spec of car and which engine you have as they are a few different ones, ie 120bhp, 130bhp(FAP), as this may help the knowledgeable ones sort you out hopefully with an answer.

Regards

Thanks Dave, I have a 51-plate Laguna Sport Tourer 1.9 DCi (120), Privelege spec in that silver/blue type colour, well looked after apart from the biscuit crumbs and raisins around the child seat. It's done 90,000 miles and has FSH including cambelt change.

cheers

Thanks for filling in the blanks hopefully by this evening one of the techs will be able to help you out.

Have you thought about joining, there is a wealth of knowledge on here and it will pay for itself easily with just one quick fix.

Regards

Hi Jim get the MAF airflow meter checked and also the turbo checked out asap.
Alan
This is good advice. I would add, the reason for checking the turbo is the dCi engine (both in renaults and nissans) has a habit of developing a "full blown runaway" and could be related to intercooler and egr valve problems. You want to get to it before this happens. MAF is a seperate issue.

Good luck!
