Hi Guys, Has anybody encountered a roll with their laguna 2. When i change gear usually 3rd and up but not all the time. It feels like a weight is in the boot and when i go round an island it throws the car with a jolt. No noises or grinding, i have had my bushes and engine mounts checked. They have said i have wrong tyres should be 225/45V R17 94V but have 91V would it make a difference. Can anyone help???!!!!

Not sure how much difference it would make, but it should defo have 94v tyres on it as they are Extra Load / Re-inforced, which is what it would have had on out of the factory.

Thinking about what you describe could be tyre roll, which is what the XL or RF tyres are designed to reduce.

I think also having the wrong load rated tyres on the car affects the insurance. What I mean is your insurance company could use the fact that the car has the wrong load rated tyres on it to weedle out of a claim in the event of an accident.

They are correct mate lags should have 225/45v R17 94V or W XL'S. fitted.soft tyre walls is where your troubles are ,suprised tyre plce fitted them top your lag,i went in once and the lad was just going to fit some on mine and the big boss came out and said to him take them back you can't fit them on a laguna..

I am about to swap the front wheels with with the rear to see if there is any change if so looks like a pair of new tyres are on the menu. The other thing i was thinking was the engine mount or rear bushes??:(

Have moved the rear wheels to the front and after getting them balanced still no difference. The lads at ATS Tamworth have checked the rear bushes and seem fine and the engine mounts. Took it back to the garage i bought off and they have replaced the rubber pipe from the turbo so it seems to be picking up better but not helping with the side ways movement. Their mechanic drove it back and has suggested the front bushes need replacing and that should fix it. Any opinions??

Exessive pitching and/or rolling around corners,or during braking can be caused by either :
1,Defective shock absorbers.
2,Broken or weak spring/suspension components.
3,Worn or damaged anti-roll bar or mountings..
check these out....

The shocks are fine and have replaced a broken front spring on the offside and looks like it snapped a while ago as the break point had rusted over. Going to renault for the to test drive tomorrow and get them to diagnose rather than pie in the sky. See how much they charge for replacing front bushes.

Have been to renault today they test drove it and have added to my increasing list of suggestions. I now have to pay 30.00 for a look over the car on Monday to get to the bottom of it. Then no doubt a heavy quote to put it right. Can anyone recommend a renault specialist in the tamworth area or close by at least??
