Need a little help and hoping you come to same conclusion as me.

I have an ever increasing rattle from the front end on bumps and uneven ground. Now so loud it sounds like something is about to fall off. Been growing for a year and had an MOT in that time.

Straight line or cornering on smooth surface - no issue , no sounds, no whine, no grinds.

Been underneath and all around. Mounting look fine, looks like normal travel and play on the drive shafts, springs good, drop links good, bottom ball joints good, springs whole, arms good. Wheels run like a dream when running with them off the ground through full range of motion.

What do you thing guys? Any help welcomed and man thanks for looking.

The description sounds like a broken spring.
Can be difficult to see, the bottom coil is trapped in a "rubber" shroud so doesn't fall out and may look intact.
But rattles on bumps.
MOT should have picked it up but.....

Worth another look and follow the spring all the way to the end, with fingers if needs be but be careful, broken ends can be very sharp.

The other thing that springs to mind is exhaust covers.
Between exhaust and body shell is thin, alum, plates that protect the shell from exhaust heat.
Can get bent or loose and rattle.
Most quick fit centres will stick it on ramps and take a look for free.
Ignore quotes, dire warnings that brakes/exhaust/shocks/tyres/kitchen sink are about to fail and MUST be done.

Thank for replying but sadly both springs and all heat shields are good.

Nose is heavy metal but more of a jingle than a bump or a grind. I think my differential is shot, bad bearing or just loose. Wondered if anyone else thought the same before fitting a new gearbox. Once had an old Ford Escort with a loose differential and it went ching, ching, ching all day long but never broke. Sounds very similar but heavier. Didn't post in the transmission section as I hoped I was wrong.

Thanks again.

How are you testing your link arms,

If your wheel is off the ground, no chance.
have you put a socket or spanner on your link arm nuts, to be sure they are tight.
(When your car is on the deck).
Bet I come across this at least 4 times a year, the link arm is sound. in the air, but on the deck..... when play can be felt, loads of it ..
