Im no idiot with a spanner but no mechanic either having replaced the upper and lower suspension arms + other parts on my Alfa 156.

The lower ball joints on my Wife's 05 Modus 1.6 have gone both sides. They appear to be replaceable so the arms themselves dont need to come off.

Does anyone have experience with replacing this sort of ball joint?

How are they retained, just pressed in and therefore with the right size socket and mallet can be tapped out?

Any links to a guide on replacement or advice greatly appreciated!

Hi just replace the suspension arm its quicker to replace. You really need a special tool to fit the ball joint into the arm.
