Hi red99999 I think it depends if ...

1/ You can do it yourself
2/ Your interested/up for the challenge
3/ You've got the time
4/ The extent of the damage to the head .. OK if only valves ... bad if the guides etc need replaced .. just depends.
5/ Difficulty in getting a head thats A1 ... you might be buying in other problems, pitted/burnt seats etc, again ... just depends.
6/ Outcome of examining the pistons ... hopefully no damage/liners (this is a wet liner engine .. ?) ... damaged ... start crying now.

hope it helps :)
