Had a look about the fotums but no luck.

I've checked connections at the window, doesn't seem to be any current going to it.

Checked the fuse under the bonnet but it's fine.

No damage to rubber gater around the cables between the boot lid and roof.

Doesn't seem to be affecting anything else, not sure if it's on it's own circuit.

Hi, today I've had the same problem with my 07plate Laguna Estate, I found the fault to be a loose connection on a multiplug located behind the boot trim by the passenger side rear wheel arch, I'm not sure if it's the same on the Megane but it's worth a look.

It's not uncommon for the wiring to break inside the rubber gaitor.

I have came across this problem numerous times and not just on Renaults. Ideally you'll need to trace the colour of the wiring and work from there.

Is there a relay ? I have the same fault the button lights up but I read somewhere that you should hear a click from the relay.
