hello all
i've just acquired a 98 megane convertible.
unfortunately, the electric hood is not working, so i'm using all the brilliant info on this forum to diagnose the issue.
one question that remains unanswered is about the wiring for the roof please.
under the hood cover (where the hood lives when down) there is the hood release catch - the gold coloured catch and mechanism.
this is the one with the spindle and gear on it.
i can't get this to work for some reason.
there is a wiring connector block on the left hand side of the hood catch that has the male, but no female connector....which seems weird to me.
it looks like something is missing from it...but i can't see anything that should go into it
i've looked in the workshop manual, but it's not referenced.
if anyone else has a megane 1 convertible, might i please ask them to have a look at their hood catch, to see if this connector is the same on theirs?
as i say, the connector block is clipped to the gold cloured hood catch - just to the left of the actual mechanism.
thank you very much! any help much appreciated as i'm now stumped!
