Both my 2003 Meganes have suffered "meltdown" (of the non-nuclear type) with the rubberised surfaces on airvents, door handles and pulls, window switches and dashboard literally melting into a gooey sticky black mess and the interior door trims turning to dust. Nice. Having been a bigtime buyer of replacements on eBay most of the parts are now replaced with the last side air vent fixed this morning. The side airvents were probably the trickiest parts to replace - after trial and error, 3 flat scrapers are needed, a strong one inserted into the bottom gap and 2 narrow ones slid down each side, starting at the bottom and sliding up to release the clips. The airvent should then pop up out of the dashboard and a new one can be clicked in. Also figured out that the rubberised finish just needs wiping with thinner to help it on its way, then a quick spray with matching dark grey paint looks as good as new. Has anyone else had these problems with Meganes or is it just a hot climate thing?
