Hi guys. I was wondering could someone shed some light on a problem i'm having.

When the light comes on my dash to say my fuel tanks nearly empty, i check the computer to see how many miles i have left and it just reads "-----".

Any other time it works fine but it just seems to be when the light comes on for almost empty.

Any help is graciously accepted!!!

Hi Connor ... thats the way its susposed to work. The display resets when the tank goes onto reserve, because its on reserve it dosent calculate the remaining miles as its "told" you to fill the tank as its nearly empty (check your handbook for the wording on a Laguna)

My diesel EspaceIV does approx 40 miles after this before I crap out ... then it takes 18.7 gallons to refill (more than Renault says the car holds) ... so it must be running on fumes.

Hope it helps :)

It's not good policy to run the tank so low.

Water and odd bits of rubbish remain in the bottom of most tanks.

Spot on mag1, I wasnt suggesting anybody run any tank that low on a regular basis, but sometimes needs must and that was my results .... not too sure my good lady understands though, because the only times I get to drive the Espace is when its out of fuel .... funny that  .

Cheers :)
