Hi,
Problem yesterday when car would not start, first time a quick bump start got her going, second time jump start.
Got home where I have a spare battery. So changed battery.
Milage was just over 50,000 before battery change but is now 100,000.
Anyone any idea as to what is going on.
Cheers

Is the vehicle ISG..one where the engine is switched off automatically when you stop at a junction etc..if so I have seen other manufacturers vehicles do the same and would always recommend the use of a memory saver when doing a battery change.. recently seen on Kia forum that a dealer changed an AGM battery without the use of a memory saver and it wiped to mileage completely and they were not able to get it back.. so looks like Renault may be afflicted with the same problem..

Well weirdest thing I have ever come across, however all seems to be resolved. Disconected battery for a couple of hours...put it back on and millage is as should be.
