i think!!!! it somtimes works well from outside the car but the last few days i've had to open the door with the key and have the plip right up to the reciever to turn off the immobiliser.
I assume that the batteries are going (its an R-Reg 1.6 scenic) BUT i've heard horror stories about having to have sodes put back in and all sorts so the question is: can the batteries be changed by an average capable woman;) , and which size of battery do i need to get?

Thanks

i changed mine a couple of months ago,i went into the local asda, if you remove the battery and replace with a new one straight away there should not be any probs.

Welcome,
I got told the batteries you need 3 volt lithium, number 2016 and you need two for each key (I`m not sure of code number because it turned out mine were ok,)

Got mine from Boots buy 3 pay for 2 @ £2.99 each, but at Morrisons same things were only £1.99 each  , easy to change, just need a small screwdriver and make sure they go in the same way they came out .
