New rules regarding radio codes

Please note that our rules have been revised again to include a request not to distribute radio codes via the forum, or link to radio code sites:

http://www.renaultforums.co.uk/view.php?pg=rules

We may revise this rule in the future if we are confident that we are not opening ourselves up to any legal issues

Thank you

The following "rule" has been introduced:

"If you have posted a message on RenaultForums, we are unable to delete your account. This is to ensure that the stream of any conversations that you have started or participated in is not lost"

Please can I take this opportunity to remind our members that they must abide by the forum rules. The very first paragraph of our rules is as follows:

Membership with RenaultForums is currently free. However, we still insist that our members abide by the rules of the forum. Please carefully read these statements, as ignorance of the rules is no defence if you break them. You can find a link to these rules in the left hand menu should you wish to refer to them after your registration is complete

One of the most important parts of this section of the rules is as follows:

Please carefully read these statements, as ignorance of the rules is no defence if you break them

In order to register with the forum, you will have been presented with the rules and in order to complete your registration you *must* have ticked the box next to the following statement:

I have read, and agree to abide by the Renault Forums :: Independent Renault forum rules

The rules are there to protect the forum and to ensure that our members know what is expected of them. Arguing with the admin team about clearly posted rules will not be tolerated. I have tried to keep the rules as relaxed as possible, but continued harrasment of the moderators for enforcing them is beginning to wear thin.

If, for any reason, your post is removed or edited due to forum rules, you are welcome to PM the moderator about the issue. They will be happy to explain why that action has been taken. If you argue with them about something that is clearly covered by the rules, they may issue you with an infraction. Repeated infractions may result in a temporary loss of posting privileges. If you pick up multiple infractions, you may end up with a ban, and nobody wants that.

Thanks very much.
