Just bought a Scenic Sport Alize 1.6 16v. (auto)

Has anyone any hints and tips and what to look out for over the next few months, and what weekly checks and servicing I should carry out.

It's a 2000 (x reg).

Hi Ghostdancing

Welcome to the forum.

From my experience i can point to two things to look out for, first being the cambelt, ensure it is or has been changed for a new one around 65000 miles, the second is the rear brake calipers if ignored they are prone to sticking causing the brakes to squeal.

Regular oil and filter changes will keep the engine wear down.

The other thing that comes to mind is the ht coils, some owners have reported failiure, if a problem as they work in pairs it is best to replace the pair.

Hope this helps.

:) :)

Thread moved to general forum.

For future referance the Knowledge base is where we move completed threads to the appropriate model forum.

It is not an area for new posters to post questions as a rule.

Having said that, welcome to the forums Ghostdancing.
