Hey guys, I'm having my megane coupe 1.4tce remapped and i'm servicing it beforehand. Would you stick to the OEM air filter or go for a piper cross or K&n e.t.c? I've read quite a few opposing opinions, I don't want to risk the engine by sticking something in that isn't as good.

Modifying the air inlet can make matters worse in some cases plus it can increase the cost of your insurance.:crazy: It's most likely there's possibly going to be an increase in premuims due to the remap so modding the inlet may make no difference.

It also depends on the type of remap you're going for so I would suggest you contact whoever is going to carry out the remap as they should know if there are any power gains or losses to be made with either option.
