I have a 2006 1.6 Megane Coupe. It stutters and stumbles when hot or cold, it can be just after starting or traveling at speed. Its very intermitant some time going weeks without the problem. My diagnosic checker from Launch lets me see what was happing at the point of the code report, the last time it happened I was at speed.
It reported the P0300 code "multiple random cylinder missfire" and a spot check of the data at the point of fault is :-
Calculated load 82%
Short term fuel trim 0%
Long term fuel trim 29%
Intake Map 1.56 in Hg
Engine speed 4173 rpm

What strikes me as odd is if i replicate the same rpm at speed and take my foot off the throttle I get:-
Calculated load 15%
Short term fuel trim 0%
Long term fuel trim 27%
Intake Map 0.56 in Hg
Engine speed 4173 rpm

The second set of data makes sense to me short term trim is zero as the throttle is closed and the manifold vacuum is down. The first set of readings show the load is up the Intake vacuum is also high indicating the throttle is open yet the short term fule trim is zero indicating there is a problem with the injection system and the fault is not with the more commom coil packs am I on the right track?
