Hi, I’m new to this site but have just found a code of P224D on my twingo 2015 plate, it’s had a brand new alternator and battery and I’m not sure what this code means, I’ve had a research which says Turbocharger inlet valve position sensor circuit malfunction is this just a sensor issue I can’t seem to establish this

any help greatly appreciated 😊

You got this code using what scanner?

Why were you scanning the vehicle to begin with?

Why did you replace the battery and alternator?

It was one my brother had because the spanner light kept coming on the car, the alternator was replaced because the car wasn’t starting, and the mechanic put a battery in aswell

I think you need to get somebody with a Renault speaking scanner to redo the job so we can compare apples with apples.

Was the spanner light on before the car refused to start?

Was the alternator actually faulty? ............... if so how was that fact determined? .............. and if a good method was the exact and same alternator model code used?

Was the battery replaced with the proper spec'd item and was the computers (BMS) told about this?

Could be as simple as the improper procedures followed............................
