Hi

Recently bought a 2003 Clio Extreme and the petrol light doesn't light up when I'm low on fuel. It lights up when I turn the ignition along with all the others - but it resulted in me running out of petrol on the way home yesterday because it won't come on. Admittedly, I should've been looking at the gauge too!

Any ideas?

Thanks. Also - everything on the trip computer flashes - already tried a dash reset.

is the guage itself working as well. It could be the fuel sender in the fuel tank that needs replacing.

Yeah the gauge is working fine, just the light doesn't come on when it should.

Simple solution really. Dont let the tank get so low on petrol that the light would / should come on.

Running the tank that low isnt good for the car as you risk crap from the bottom of the fuel tank being fed into the engine and blocking filters or worse injectors.
