The ide engine does need special plugs. The engine is pretty fussy about it too. Fitting incorrect plugs can result in misfires etc.

When I replaced the plugs in my ide engined laguna 2 I used genuine Renault plugs and had no problems whatsoever. For info the plugs are a bit longer than regular plugs.

Leads I can most definatley recommend genuine but plugs ngk or bosh they usually make them for main dealers at half the price .
