I have recently bought a Clio 1.2 Authentique, 2001 reg. The car came without a stereo so I have tried to fit a kenwood stereo however when I have connected it up there is no power to the stereo. I have checked the fuses and they are both fine. The stereo has been checked and is also fine. I'm not sure what else I can check. There was a problem with the reverse light but when I had it checked by the garage the car wasn't earthed but they rectified it. I want to avoid going to an auto electrician as I have already paid out a lot to fix the key fob and other faults on the car. Any suggestions?

Not all after-market stereos are compatible with the original connector blocks and in many cases will require an ISO adaptor to suit. Even then you are unlikely to have the dash dispaly work but at least the steering remote should function.

There are a number of ICE suppliers who may be able to assist.
