I have had the car for about 8 months now understand most of the little 'icons' that appear on the instrument panel and have looked in the manual but....

To the right of thepanel there is a little picture of my car in a circle with an attached bold arrow pointing to the left. It is not always there hence my question. I think it might be to show if any doors are open or boot. It is nt always there and somtimes it does not show the arrow which is confusing!

Thanks everyone

Green or yellow?
If yes, those are indicators that cruise control or speed limiter is ON.

When ON, all you have to do is to set speed using buttons on steering wheel.

No - I don't use cruise control at all! I looked again when I went out in car and it is just a picture of the car surrounded by white circle and an arrow which moves when I drive - think it could be some sort of compass which has appeared since I messed with the Nav settings.

Could be.
Cruise control and speed limiter are always green or yellow.
And it doesn't matter if you use them or not. You have both in your car and if you turn them on, it will be indicated on the dash.

Arrow in the navigation shows direction to your destination.
