I have scanned through the threads and have been unable to find a solution to this

My Megan is running really hot to overheating as the fan which is working perfectly (as is the radiator) is not kicking in, I know it is working as when I disconnect the plug that connects the thermostat display on my dashboard the fan kicks in.

I have taken it too an authorised Renault mechanic who was unable to solve the problem in spite of replacing this plug as well as the thermostat, the mechanic was also denied access to the fan controls on her diagnostic computer.

Is this a computer error, an electrical error and is there a solution?

Many thanks in advance

Hi Mate, a few extra details would help - petrol/diesel, engine size

it could be the Coolant Temp Sensor not reading correct and not telling the fan to kick in
