Hi I've just bought a Kangoo, put radio code in but still not working, is there another button to press after you enter the code,

The code you need to enter is a four digit code lets say for example 2222.
you enter the code as follows using the numbered buttons on radio. (pre-sets)
button 1 press twice.
button 2 " " " "
button 3 " " " "
button4 " " " "
then hold in button 6 or 5 job done ejoy

Hi I've just tried that, and still doesn't work, when radio is switched on it takes about 2 minutes until the 'CODE' changes to '0000' then I enter code and press and hold key 5, nothing happens

Each time you get it wrong you will have to wait longer between attempts. You can also use the steering column controls to enter the code use the thumbwheel to select the correct number and IIRC it's the single lower button you use to enter the code.

Fitting a secondhand Renault TunerList radio tomorrow. Colin, when you say 'hold in button 5 or 6' do you mean press and hold either button, or you're not sure if it's 5 or 6?

Sorted. Bought a code after giving the serial number, found the 'thumbwheel' scrolled to the required digit, pressed the lower button to change to the next one, then pressed and held button '6' till I heard a beep. Works a treat.

On my Scenic II Im almost certain it was hold in number 6 when finished inputting the code.

I also have a problem with my radio, but different symptoms to the ones I have seen so far.
- Alternator belt broke; drove to garage, they replaced it, all seemed OK
- Afterwards, tried the radio - kept saying "code". Tried many times with what I thought was the correct code (in car documents), no joy, eventually said "error"
- Tried a few more things, symptoms changed - now plays radio stations, but - every 3 seconds there is a beep. Also on tape player.
- Garage told me the correct code, but even they couldn't get it out of this beep mode.

Any suggestions??

Yes, I removed the radio for hours, then reinstalled it. The garage said they had never seen those symptoms before.

hi wonder if you can help i have a problem with my 2006 megane stereo. i have the code and enter it correctly but when i hold button 6 or bottom button on steering control the code will not store and have to enter it each time i get in the car and start the engine

Hi andrew7170 you have to hold 6 or bottom button on steering control long enough for the radio to beep it's acceptance of storing the code. (I think)

It's either as Hondo said or the permanent live feed to the stereo isn't as permanent as it should be. There could be other reasons but I would try those first.

hi guys just an update so as you know the code wouldn't store so my cousin has a megane and swapped radios and it worked fine. drove 60 mile round trip with my radio in and my windscreen wash and lighter stopped working(wasn't charging sat nav anymore) along with the radio. checked the radio fuse and im assuming the same fuse controls all 3 things. can see crack in fuse where its separated. mechanically the car is fine no problems its just the electrics that's the pain in the ass. will replace fuse and update the outcome. thanks for your reply's much appreciated.

hi people. i have replaced the fuse and everything is working as it should apart from the radio wont even turn on, the display itself is not even coming on

The radio has two fused circuits - one permanet and one ignition fed - you need to check both. sorry I don't know the exact location of either on your particular model.

Try removing the front ash tray I've know Renault to hide them behind there on some models.

No, neither did mine however the space is there for it hidden away by a bit of plastic right at the front end of the centre console, & right below the dash.

TBH I never took mine out though, therefore I can't say if you're going to find an inline fuse, or not.
