hi all. ref master 120 hi top van 2003. is burning oil at rate of 1 ltr every 100 mls. local ren dealer diagnosed turbo failure and replaced. problem still there. dealer said faulty turbo and replaced. still burning oil. now saying internal engine fault. cost of new engine approx £7000 fitted. surprised new req at only 66.000 mls. has anybody had same probs or any suggestions. thanks paul.

Hi Paul - have you checked the engine breather system - if it is blocked it could cause excessive oil consumption. If it is due to stuck piston rings which have carboned I have heard there is a renault flush system which may help - there is post somewhere on the froum relating to this - just can't find it at present. Oops found it - have a read through Clio141 thread or PM him

hi madnoel10. breathers all clear. hav.nt tried any additives or flushes as yet new egr valve fitted and all pipes and intercooler cleaned out. commpression test not done. might show low cyl. {stuck rings} ta paul.
