hi all. just bought an 04 scenic and both rear windows dont work. they are both just wedged up at the moment. is this a common fault with them? how do i fix it? thanx

If they are wedged up I would imagine that the plastic clips that hold the glass in place have broken.

If so, this is a quite a common fault, the clips can be bought from ebay or the dealer, although it seems that many of the dealers are not aware of this and will try and charge you for a full regulator.

Have you had the door cards off?

Take the door card off and have a look before you buy, just in case it's something else

ive had both of the door cards off and one of the clips has broken but its ok on the other one. but on both the cable seems to be a bit tangled. is it possible to take the mechanism out and re wrap the wire correctly?
