Thought I'd start a thread to keep track of my progress so here goes my new project, 2003 traffic previously used as a breakdown vehicle, I only bought it as a cheap runaround last week but once I started to clean it my plans soon changed (as I knew they would lol). Here she is at the moment, not looking to great but that'll change

I have started cleaning the cab but still a way to go on that yet, removed the triple seat this morning in preparation of removing all the filthy ply lining.

I'll post some photos later on the ply lining removal, we'll see how far me and my boy get with it, a fair bit to remove, hopefully won't take too long.

I was going to ask, is that what you found under the ply board? 😁

The floor was not quite so clean when we first ripped it up, it had a good brush before the photo but yes it is in pretty good nick, after years of t4 ownership it's quite nice too not be finding rust lol! This months plan is major cleaning inside, remove all stickers plus the lights on the roof and got a new drivers seat on order to replace this one.

All lights removed from roof, only covered with sticky vinyl temporarily until I can get down to my mates body shop, every single wire relating to the multitude of lights has also gone and replaced the heater controls bulbs as I had the dash in bits

Today's work, completely de-stickered/de-badged whole van, got a lot of sticky residue left to get off but that can wait till the final deep clean

Also gave the wheels a clean to see what condition their in, not great if I'm being honest so I'll give them a lick of black pain for the time being(I hate silver/chrome). That'll keep me happy till I get my banded steels on. Tackle the inside rear this week as the weather is looking awful! At least it's starting to resemble a normal van again (y)

A few updates, surface rust on floor ground off, treated, new coat of paint, sound deadening/floor/carpet down plus new rear door seals as the old were shot. I have refurbished the cab/rear door steps, just haven't put them back in yet.

All wheels have been sanded down and painted, decided I'm going to keep the wheels for the time being as I do like them in black and they turned out to be suitably load rated which was a bonus as I assumed they wouldn't.
