:steam: yeah that's what i thought, they told me it was a one owner from new and local to the garage(oxfordshire), told em im not happy as not one owner and the overseas bit, they said it was normal for 172's, and if i was to give the car back for a refund i will have to pay a fee as i have increased the V5 by one owner! cheeky B******S, but the manufacture date and date registered in the UK are the same, wondering if previous owner took it overseas etc???
gonna keep at em and have got trading standards involved now!! only had the car 12 days and got a few electrical problems-Renault as usueful as a chocolate kettle, shame really as always had good dealings with them! let u know how i get on:steam:

Did you get a good discount on the car, as a pal of mine got a good deal with his renault scenic as it was pre registered. Some dealers do this to keep to their targets. His car only had the delivery mileage on it so its still really a new car.

very good deal. Renault just phoned me saying all the electrical problems were fixed, went to pick it up and started it-exactly the same.
found the fault myself driving home-when you move the drivers sun visor it blows the radio etc fuse! obviously a intermittent short to earth in there-a loose wire making earth when moved-i will fix it myself tonight at work-not hard is it!!:steam: :steam:
