Hi. Did a search but couldnt find any thread which says how/if you can test the sensor. Can this be done without specialist equipment?

Hello and welcome to the forum.:)

I don't know of a way of DIY testing a Lambda sensor...unless you have a sensitive multimeter that can read millivolts.

Whats the problem Whiskychaser?

Garage says emissions are too high to pass mot. Cant find any intake or exhaust leaks which could affect it so thought I'd check the sensor next. Have got a digital multimeter that will read millivolts so would appreciate any information

PS Thanks for the welcome! :)

Just out of interest,do you have an emissions print out?.From the results,we can tell you the possible problem,if not the Lambda sensor.
